Alan D. Humbers

Lt Humbers graduated from Clinch County High School in 1988. Following graduation he went on to join the US Army. While in the Army he became a helicopter mechanic in the 2-6 Cavalry Squadron, which was a part of the 11th Aviation Regiment and spent over 2 years in Germany as a crew chief. After serving his country Lt. ”Big Al” Humbers joined the Waycross Fire Department in July of 1998. After 10 years in the fire department he was promoted to Driver Engineer. In 2004 he became an EMT. He is currently in paramedic school with Rescue Training Inc.

In his 20 years in the fire service he has received numerous certification that has aided in his abilities to facilitate a leadership role at the Waycross Fire Department, in 2018 he was promoted to Lieutenant. Lt. Humbers is a native to Homerville Georgia where he and his wife Shawna Humbers currently resides.
