Tony Dubberly

Lt. Tony Dubberly is a 1981 graduate of Ware County High School. He worked full time for Dubberly Glass Company until becoming employed with the Waycross Fire Department in April 1987. After achieving his firefighter certification, he began working to acquire the necessary training and classes toward the first promotional step in his firefighting career. In June 1989, he was promoted to Driver Engineer where he remained for the next 24 years. During these years he accumulated various fire service related certificates in Hazmat, Firefighting Essentials, Rescue, Automobile extrication, Fire Service Management, Public Relations, records and reporting along with National certifications in Firefighter 1, 2 and 3. In addition to his standard training certificates he is one of two Survival Certified Self Contained Breathing Apparatus Technicians for the Waycross Fire Department. He is tasked with maintaining and servicing of all SCBA equipment used by the Waycross Fire Department. In March 2013, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant where he oversees the daily operations of Station #4. Lt. Dubberly’s duties consist of firefighting training and maintaining training records for his crew, along with various other daily routine station operations.
