Beginning early-mid March, Atlanta Gas Light Company (AGLC) will be closing monitoring wells used to confirm the environmental cleanup efforts were effective in the vicinity of the Waycross former manufactured gas plant (MGP). As you may know from prior notices, the MGP operated between the early-1900s and approximately the 1950s at 903 Glenmore Avenue. The MGP processed coal to produce gas used to light city street-lamps, fuel industries, and heat homes, but also left behind coal tar residues that required cleanup under modern standards....

DPH Preparations for Potential Spread of COVID-19

ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) is working closely with the CDC, and state partners to prepare for a potential outbreak of COVID-19 in the U.S., including Georgia. The goal is to quickly identify cases of COVID-19 and take the appropriate public health action to reduce its spread and protect the general public. It is important to note that at this time, the overall risk of COVID-19 to the general public remains low.

Road Closures Update

We are Southern Commercial Development, LLC. We work with CSX Transportation providing traffic control and detour signage for railroad crossing closures which require routine maintenance.
CSX Railroad has scheduled the attached list of crossings to be closed for repair. This will necessitate rerouting traffic. Signage will be in place marking detour routes. Please note the expected close dates. Each crossing will be closed for 2 to 5 days, however, with one way in/out accesses, we can request special accommodations for these closures. We can work together to develop a plan.
